Taipei 101
Once the world’s tallest building, Taipei 101 is not only one of Taipei’s most prominent landmarks, but also an important cultural symbol of Taiwan.
During my time at UnoLab, I was responsible for the motion design, animation and on-site execution of Taipei 101’s architectural lighting. Starting with the New Year’s Eve fireworks and lighting show, I quickly familiarised myself with the existing lighting system and used animation to design and simulate lighting sequences across the building’s façade.
I continued to work on a range of festive and brand collaboration projects, covering motion design, simulation, on-site testing, colour calibration and final implementation.

Ningbo Fashion and Creative Center
A Living Building is Born
The opening of Ningbo Fashion and Creative Center was imagined as the birth of a living being — a place where new ideas and creativity can emerge, meet, merge and grow.
I developed the overall lighting concept and narrative from the ground up, translating the stages of birth into a series of lighting sequences, from the opening preview and launch show to the building’s everyday lighting modes. The narrative moves from gestation and heartbeat before birth, to being named, dressed and finally presenting itself to the city.
Rather than simply decorating the architecture, light becomes a medium between fashion and creativity, architecture and the city

Crowning Light
Developed in collaboration with Rooster Lighting, the project began with a collection of lighting fixtures and components accumulated over the company’s 30 years of work in public lighting. Through upcycling, the project explores how these stored and overlooked objects could be brought back into public space and given new value beyond their original function.
The concept of ‘Light as jewellery in space’ became a way to connect this transformation with the role light already plays in architecture and landscape. Like jewellery, light is carefully placed to shape atmosphere, guide attention and define space, while the lighting objects themselves often remain unnoticed.
Crowning Light brings these objects into focus, gathering the fixtures like gemstones to form a sculptural installation. By rearranging and reframing these everyday industrial objects, the work explores how value can shift through context — allowing what was once functional infrastructure to become something to be seen, approached and experienced.

Serendipity
The Serendipity series began in 2023 with a group of physical sculptures and was later reimagined as a virtual solo exhibition on INFINITY ISLAND in 2026.
The works originated from the house where I lived in London, which had previously been used as an immersive theatre. After the theatre closed, parts of its sets and structures were dismantled and left in the garden for more than a decade. While clearing the site with the landlord, I discovered that these abandoned materials had gradually developed ecosystems of their own, covered with moss, plants and insects. Weathering and decay had also transformed their forms, creating unexpected resemblances to objects, landscapes and living things.
Working with a light-touch approach, I preserved these found conditions as much as possible, making small interventions to transform the discarded set pieces into a new group of theatrical sculptures — shifting them from the background of a former stage into protagonists in their own right.
Following the 2023 exhibition, the series was invited to become a virtual solo exhibition on INFINITY ISLAND, a digital curatorial platform exploring architecture, mobility, materiality, and relationships between past and future. Through highly detailed, organic digital modelling, the virtual exhibition recreated the weathered surfaces and irregular forms of the original materials, creating a tension between their aged, tactile qualities and the precision of a digital environment.
